Client Testimonial

“Working with Amelie has been great! She has led our brand into a cohesive one with a solid identity that we can now communicate to external clients, as well as provide our employees with a sense of meaning at the workplace. She looks at the big picture and addresses the root cause of any challenge we face. She has emphasized the importance of taking deep breaths during the day, which is just one of the many small changes she has implemented to help us create a grounded and sustainable approach to our business. We’re happy to continue working with her and highly recommend her as a consultant for your brand and company as well as mindfulness coach for your employees.”

This consulting container is not just a grounded approach to creating holistic and lasting change but also rooted in empirical and practical research.

In today’s world, it is the company's job to make their employees happy; to create environments, in which their employees can thrive and feel happy to show up to work.

In the past few years, employee turnover intention has radically grown, one of the reasons being that employees don’t feel adequately supported by their company, are missing a sense of coherence at their workplace or are missing a positive work environment.

When I wrote my dissertation for my Master’s degree about why people quit their jobs I found that affective organizational commitment is one of the main predictors of turnover intention.

Affective organizational commitment is a person's emotional attachment, affiliation and identification with the organization or company in which he or she works (Allen & Meyer, 1990).

Organizational commitment is influenced by things, such as their well-being at the workplace or the level of support by their supervisor of organization as a whole , which I support you to create in this container.

In my thesis I asked “Why do employees quit their jobs? What motivates employees to resign?” I found empirical correlations between leadership, meaningfulness, emotional attachment and the tendency to quit have become clear (e.g. Steger et al., 2012 or Badura et al., 2018). My thesis dealt with the question to the extent to which leadership, meaningfulness and emotional attachment influence employees' propensity to quit. For my study, 67 employees took part in an online study.

In my study I found that the higher employee’s work-related meaningfulness, affective organizational commitment and positively perceived leadership quality, the less likely are they to quit. I found that turnover intention to turnover correlates moderately negatively with work-related meaningfulness (r = -.306), moderately to strongly negatively with affective organizational commitment (r = -.482**) and moderately negatively with perceived leadership quality (r = -.334**). This means that high values on the scale of turnover intention correspond to low values on the scales of work-related meaningfulness, affective organizational commitment and positively perceived leadership quality.

If you are interested in reading the entire study, just let me know and I will send it to you. If you have any questions regarding this topic and workplace well-being for employees, feel free to reach out to me.

  • A: Absolutely. You can let me know if you are looking only for company consulting, 1:1 personal business coaching, or both. If you decide to do one thing first and decide you want to add the other while we already started one container, that’s possible as well.

  • A: Not at all. You simply being present and letting me know what your goals are as well as being willing and open to creating change is all you need.
